Grand Lexis Port Dickson: Food Expensive! - Grill Option

Grand Lexis Port Dickson is known to have a luxurious environment. Whether it's in 'Above the sea', 'Sky living' and 'Garden Living' concept, all of them provide the luxury feels to its customer. Nonetheless, its luxurious concept had, unfortunately, expand to its culinary business. I went to Grand Lexis during Hari Raya and to be frank, there ain't much choice either during the festivals. So I guess the hotel decided that to mark up the prices to an unbelievable extent.

Grill Option

1. Lamb Chop         :RM 10.00 / Serving / Piece
2. Lamb Shoulder   :RM 40.00 / Serving / Piece
3. Sirloin Steak       :RM 40.00 / Serving / 100g
4. Chicken Chop     :RM 25.00 / Serving
5. Chicken Wing     :RM   5.00 / Serving
6. Chicken Sausage:RM    5.00 / Serving / 3 Pieces
7. Satay                   :RM 30.00 / Serving

The grill option, to be frank, is really expensive. I had never been served a 100g Sirloin Steak that cost as much. For a better steak option, I would seriously recommend David's Diner Ipoh Sirloin Steak. You can get 300g steak for about RM 60.00. It is damn delicious. Another ridiculous meal in the grill option is the 3 pieces Chicken Sausage for RM 5.00. I bet they will serve you cocktail sausage instead. What a joke!

Seafood Grill Option

1. Red Snapper Fish   :RM 50.00 / Serving
2. Jenahak Fish           :RM 50.00 / Serving
3. Siakap Fish             :RM 40.00 / Serving
4. Talapia Fish            :RM 30.00 / Serving
5. Prawn                     :RM   5.00 / Serving / 1 piece
6. Squid                      :RM 10.00 / Serving
7. Mussel                    :RM 10.00 / Serving
8. Bamboo Clam        :RM 10.00 / Serving
9. Lala                        :RM 10.00 / Serving

As for the seafood option, most of the meals in the menu is very expensive. Lala should not possibly be RM 10.00. Especially when your location is so near to the sea. With all the expensive menu, you can't possibly be able to taste all the seafood in one sitting.Generally, everyone has certain amount of budget during their vacation. Therefore, it's very unfortunate that you won't be able to taste all kind of food with the ridiculous pricing. My advice, however, is to always bring adequate money and spend it on meals that are cheaper outside the compound of Grand Lexis.
