Albert Dock Liverpool UK
Christmas in Liverpool is not as hectic as you thought it should be. No, because I would suggest Scotland as your main destination for Christmas and New Year. Even so, Liverpool is very beautiful at night as they have beautiful and magical lighting that you can observe around town, especially places near Albert Dock. Worth the walk as YHA hostel Liverpool (place we stayed) is just walking distance to Albert Dock. We got a few shot of pictures around town, even though it was raining and wet. Scenery, however, wasn't the best view at night but during the day the vast ocean will take you breath away.
The most interesting place in Albert Dock is The Beatles Museum. The entrance fee of the museum is only £14.95 for adult. For concession is only £11.50, so don't forget to bring along your student card. Know that most museum have concession entrance fee. Therefore always bring it along during travel. Lastly, children will only have to pay £9.00 per person. For Beatles' fans, please give the museum a visit. For more details and information visit the museum official website at http://www.beatlesstory.com/. For traveller that travels on weekend, not to worry. The museum opens daily from 10 am to 6 pm. However bare in mind that opening time might differ during bank holidays.
I find that Liverpool is a very romantic town. Maybe the lights that makes me felt that way. Moreover, there weren't many people around that night so you could stroll around town with someone special and enjoy the magical and beautiful lights during Christmas.
