Cardiff Castle - Nursery Room
Within the Cardiff Castle, there is a small room tmagical room for children The room is indeed the nursery room built by the famuos architect, William Burges for the Bute Family whom owns the castle 100 years back. To optimize the learning of the Bute children, the architect did some painting on the wall about all the fairy tales that is popular until today such as the red little riding hood, puss in boots, aladdin and ect.
From the picture above, you could see that there is jack and the beanstalk painting mural on the left of the head of the fireplace. The purpose of all this murals is to enhance the knowledge of the Bute children in literature. That time there weren't any distraction for the children but merely literature to teach them about morals and culture. Additionally, to enhance the knowledge of the Bute children, William Burgess also add on paintings of the relevant writers that wrote the children's books on the wall on top of the door.
The room was indeed a remarkable room for children during the olden days. I believe that the Bute family have tremendous wealth that could support their entire generation and able to to build such an amazing house under the finest touch of William Burges. I would suggest visitor to visit Cardiff Castle at Cardiff Wales and purchase house tour at he ticket counter. House tour is an additional of £3.00 to the admission ticket and you are able to witness the amazing architecture and its un-told story.
